STONEYGATE DELI, FARM SHOP & CAFE NEAR RICHMOND, NORTH YORKHIRE

Stoneygate Farm Shop and Cafe is located in the heart of North Yorkshire, close to the A66, nestled between Richmond and Ravensworth.

Operating as a working farm, Stoneygate is home to native breed cows, pigs and lambs. The farm shop & cafe boasts its own integrated on-site butchery, and the deli provides a wonderful variety of homegrown or home-baked goods. Our farm shop cafe is a place where customers can relax whilst enjoying authentic local Yorkshire produce, and take in the beauty of the surrounding countryside on the outdoor terrace (when the Yorkshire weather allows it!).

We are a North of England Finalist in the Rural Oscars!

We are delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted to win a Countryside Alliance Award (otherwise known as the Rural Oscars) in the Local Food category.

The awards are a celebration of rural businesses, and are totally decided by public nominations and votes.

The Stoneygate Farm Shop & Deli is packed with home-grown and locally sourced products.

We pride ourselves on carefully selecting the highest quality products, with the lowest food miles, for our customers. 

Whether it’s a delicious hot snack for the way home or a freshly homemade ready meal to save yourself some time in the evening, we have it all.

Our famous pies, with a range of fillings fresh from the farm, quiches and other savouries are baked on-site each and every morning. For a sweeter treat, our bakery offers home-baked cakes, scones and various other goodies throughout the day.

Our Farm Kitchen & Cafe

Whether you’re popping by for a coffee and a slice of our home-baked cake with friends or fancy something a little more substantial, you will find it all at the Stoneygate Farm Shop Cafe.

Our chef takes inspiration from the farm, its surrounding countryside and the locally sourced produce we sell in the farm shop to create our small but inviting menu, which means you always know exactly where your food has come from.  All food is cooked to order, so we can guarantee fresh fare every time, reflecting both our heritage and values.

From grassroot beginnings…

Stoneygate Farm Shop & Cafe was founded in 2013 by Malcolm and Bernadette Tennant.  Nestled in the heart of North Yorkshire just off the A66, between the market town of Richmond and the village of Ravensworth.

From grassroot beginnings, selling meat to family and friends, the farm quickly expanded its offering which saw the team regularly spending their weekends at the Richmond Market. Once the general public tasted the delicious homegrown produce coming from Stoneygate, a permanent, on-site farm shop where customers could enjoy the real ‘from field to fork’ experience, soon followed.

STONEYGATE BUTCHERY

The Stoneygate Butchery

We know that provenance is as important to our customers as it is to us which is why the majority of meat we sell is born, bred and butchered on-site at Stoneygate. Any additional meat is sourced from other local farms

All of our animals are expertly butchered on-site with the greatest care and we aim to use every part of the animal. This is why you can always find everything from sausages and steaks to haggis and black pudding in our farm shop & cafe.

We feel that by working in this way, we can guarantee consistently superior meat for our customers; animals that have been slowly reared and butchered with care and respect will produce higher-quality, better tasting meat. Simple!

Experienced seven course tasting menu last Friday and it was absolutely outstanding! All of the courses were delicious but my favourites were the pork – Gloucester Old Spot, probably the best pork I have ever tasted – and the beef (Shorthorn). Lovely friendly service and excellent value for money. Can’t recommend it highly enough. ????

NOTE: On Sundays the cafe is open for traditional Sunday lunch (11.00am -3.00pm) and light refreshments from 9.00am.
